We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to lead the technical development and continuous enhancement of our next-generation cloud-based HRMS SaaS platform. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can take ownership of our product architecture, improve existing vendor-developed systems, and build scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
You will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, product specialists, and management to deliver enterprise-grade SaaS solutions while driving engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
Take ownership of the existing HRMS application across both backend and frontend environments
Review, refactor, and optimise vendor-developed code to improve maintainability, security, and performance
Develop and enhance backend services using Java 21, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and Amazon Aurora MySQL
Support frontend development using React.js and TypeScript
Design and implement scalable multi-tenant SaaS architecture and microservices
Apply secure coding practices aligned with OWASP standards
Optimise database performance through schema design, indexing, and query tuning
Develop automated unit and integration tests within CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with DevOps engineers on deployment pipelines and cloud infrastructure
Mentor junior developers and contribute to long-term technical strategy and architecture
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 8 years of professional Java and Spring Boot development experience
Strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript
Solid understanding of microservices architecture, multi-tenancy, Saga pattern, and distributed systems
Experience with Amazon Aurora MySQL, RESTful APIs, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices
Experience reviewing and improving large legacy or vendor-developed applications
AWS cloud experience is highly preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
