We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Legal Counsel to serve as the company’s in-house legal advisor within a growing HRMS SaaS environment. This role is responsible for overseeing legal, contractual, compliance, and governance matters while supporting the company’s long-term business growth and operational objectives.
You will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to provide practical legal guidance, manage risk exposure, support regulatory compliance, and safeguard the company’s legal and commercial interests in a fast-paced technology-driven environment.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, reseller agreements, vendor contracts, intellectual property agreements, and other business-related contracts
Ensure contracts protect the company’s interests while maintaining fair and sustainable business relationships
Monitor legal and regulatory compliance across business operations and advise management on potential risks and corrective actions
Support dispute management, negotiations, and communications with external parties, regulators, and authorities
Liaise with external legal counsel when required and manage related legal matters efficiently
Act as the primary legal advisor to internal departments by providing practical and business-oriented legal guidance
Identify legal and operational risks and recommend strategies to minimize potential exposure
Support HR-related legal matters, including employee relations, disciplinary matters, and policy reviews
Review and strengthen internal policies, procedures, and governance practices
Conduct internal legal awareness and knowledge-sharing sessions for teams when necessary
Support ISO 27001 compliance initiatives, including audit coordination, documentation management, and governance support
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution with professional legal qualification (CLP, Bar, or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of legal practice or in-house counsel experience
Strong exposure to corporate, commercial, employment, and contract law
Experience in intellectual property, compliance, and dispute management
Exposure to SaaS, technology, or software-related legal matters is an advantage
Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with management and cross-functional teams
High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and business acumen
